August is Children’s Vision and Learning Month

2017 is the inaugural year for this proclamation, which was just signed into effect on August 1st by Governor Inslee.  We would like to thank our colleague, Carrie Murphy, O.D., with Alderwood Vision Therapy, who devoted many volunteer hours to increase public awareness of visually caused learning difficulties, thereby enhancing the probability of diagnosing visual complications before children enter school.

Dr. Murphy is a member of the Optometric Physicians of Washington, of which Dr. Matsunami is an executive officer of.
