American Optometric Association Presidents’ Council Meeting

As president of the Optometric Physicians of Washington (OPW), which is affiliated with the American Optometric Association (AOA), Dr. Matsunami has just returned from attending the Presidents’ Council Meeting in Houston, TX, January 16-18.

An annual event, The Presidents’ Council provides AOA state affiliate leaders with networking and information sharing among optometrists from around the country. This includes involvement in legislation having to do with advocacy in patient protection in eye care, and in developing leadership among optometrists.

The skills and information gleaned ultimately enables Broadway Vision Source to provide our patients with eye care which is based upon the constant quest for improvement in leadership, and the provision of best clinical practices in optometry.
