Welcome Back Dr. Annie Yu

We’re happy and proud to announce that Dr. Yu has re-joined our clinical team!

Fluent in conversational Mandarin, Dr. Yu grew up in Redmond, WA, where she attended Redmond High School, and was a National Merit Commended Scholar.   She attended the University of Washington where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Physiology, and was awarded the Dean’s List Scholarship during her senior year.  Upon graduating from UW and leaving for Pacific University College of Optometry (PUCO) she spent a gap year as an ophthalmic technician at BVS.   At PUCO, Dr. Yu was a Teaching Assistant for Ocular Disease, as well as Geometric and Physical Optics, and is a member of the Optometric Honor Society, Beta Sigma Kappa.  Dr. Matsunami was honored to have presented her with the American Foundation for Vision Awareness and Optometric Physicians of Washington Scholarship, and the Great Western Council of Optometry’s Scholarship.  Dr. Yu received her doctorate in optometry from Pacific University College of Optometry in 2020, and resides in Seattle
